Hugh Chipperfield has been woodturning for thirty five years. He follows a family history of woodturning that goes back three generations.

The company was formed in 1987 with a view to offering a personal service, producing bespoke items and components commercially, and working entirely by hand. The company quickly grew by word of mouth recommendations and following its initial success, the Company moved to new bigger premises in 1996. We started making guitars in 2003 initially specialising in resonator guitars but now have produced classical, acoustic and electric guitars + basses. Each instrument is purpose made to each customers specifcation, not only to produce prefect sound, but also to be completely unique.
